Taking on new work

Websites that load before people leave.

A one-man studio. Every site is written by hand — no page builders, no themes, nothing loaded from anyone else's server. Eight hundred dollars, live within a week, and the files are yours when it's paid for.

01 — Top site builds

Top Site Builds

The four best-looking builds. Any business, any trade — everything else is on the full work page.

02 — Pricing

Two numbers, and I'll tell you which one you need.

Most businesses need the first one. I'd rather talk you out of the second than sell you motion your customers will scroll past.

The site

$800

Everything a business actually needs, built and live.

  • Designed and written from scratch for your business
  • Built for a phone first, because that is where it gets opened
  • Live within a week of you saying go
  • Nothing to pay until you have seen it and approved it
Start with this

The site, with motion

$1,200 and up

Add 3D, animation or a scroll sequence. Priced on the ask.

  • Everything in the first one
  • 3D scenes rendered here — not stock footage, not a video file
  • Sequences that play as the page is scrolled
  • Quoted properly once I know what you want built
Talk about motion

How paying works

  1. I build it. Nothing is due while I am working.
  2. You look at it and approve it. On your own phone, on a real address.
  3. You pay. Once, when you are happy with it.
  4. I hand it over. Domain and files transfer to you and the job is closed.

Motion costs more because it is genuinely more work — scenes have to be modelled, lit and rendered frame by frame. It is an add-on, and plenty of businesses are better off without it.

03 — Speed

"Fast" is a word. Here is the number.

These are measured on this page, on a phone, throttled to the kind of connection you get in a truck outside town — 400 kbps with 400 ms of lag.

Anyone can say a site is fast. The way you actually make sure is to set a weight limit before you start and refuse to break it.

HOW IT IS KEPT
· Nothing loaded from another company's server
· Every image sized for the space it lands in
· No frameworks — the page is the page
· Measured on a throttled phone before it goes live

04 — Plainly

What you are and are not getting.

You own it when it's paid for

On final payment the domain and every file transfer to you. Not licensed, not rented, not held on my account.

A week from go-ahead

Agree the job and it is live within a week. That is the promise — not a vague timeline that slides.

No strings after handover

No subscription, nothing to cancel, no retainer. When the job is done we are done — and you are not stranded, because of the next one.

No pop-up asking to track people

The site collects nothing about your visitors, so there is no banner in the way before they can read it.

Any business, not just trades

Contractors are what I have built most of, and none of it is specific to them. Shop, service, studio, whatever it is.

Motion is optional

The 3D work is an add-on and priced separately. The base site does not include it and does not need it.

05 — After handover

You get the back end, not just the front.

The question every owner asks is what happens the day they need to change something and I am not around. The answer is that you never needed me.

An admin you log into

Change any text, swap any photo, add a page, take a service off the list. Plain fields on a page, not a code editor — if you can fill in a form you can run it.

Enquiries come straight to you

The contact form emails your inbox directly. It does not pass through my account, my server or anyone else's, so there is nothing of mine sitting in the middle of your business.

Everything exported, in the open

You get the whole site as ordinary files and the domain in your own account. Any developer alive can pick it up — there is no proprietary format and no platform to be locked into.

Nothing to keep paying for

Hosting a site this small is free or close to it, and it is on your account, not mine. No licence, no seat, no monthly fee that quietly doubles in year two.

Written down, in plain English

A short guide handed over with it: how to change a price, add a job photo, update your hours. Written for you, not for a developer.

And if you do want more later

You can come back and I will quote the new work — but that is a new job you choose, not a string attached to this one.

06 — Process

Four steps and then I'm out of your way.

01

A conversation, not a questionnaire

Twenty minutes about what you do, who calls you, and what you are tired of explaining. That is where the copy comes from.

02

A real page, on a real address

You see a working site on your own phone, not a picture of one, before anything is finalised.

03

Your words, your work, one round of changes

Written from your own answers and built around photographs of jobs you have actually done.

04

Live, handed over, done

Within a week of the go-ahead. On final payment the domain and the files become yours and the job is closed.

07 — Contact

Tell me what your business does.

I take a small number of projects at a time. If it is a fit I will say so quickly, and if it is not I will tell you that too.
